Finance Committee

The Finance Committee is responsible for approving Roundtable expenditures and preparing budgets. This Committee is responsible for overseeing the preparation of tax returns.

Legal, Ethics and Best Practices Committee

One mission of the Roundtable is to enhance the professional standards of the hedge fund industry through its leadership in setting forth recommendations for best practices and legislative reform. In this regard, the Committee will be responsible for considering developments emphasizing best practices for the hedge fund industry, such as the President's Working Group Reports, and for identifying opportunities to comment on proposed legislation. The Committee will be responsible for identifying opportunities to communicate the Roundtable's endorsement and expectations of high ethical conduct from the hedge fund industry. The Committee will also consider legal issues relating to the Roundtable such as contacts and legal disclaimers. In addition, the Committee will monitor regulatory and self-regulatory websites to identify legal developments that relate to the hedge fund industry and help communicate such developments to Roundtable members and add relevant content to the website.

Liaison Committee

The Liaison Committee is responsible for identifying other hedge fund organizations and coordinating with them in an effort to cross-market and share relevant information. In addition, the Committee will be responsible for gathering information on other organizations and recommend improvements to the Roundtable's website and benefits.

Media and Special Events Committee

The Media and Special Events Committee will liaise with the press and oversee public relations for the Roundtable. The Committee will also identify opportunities to publicize the Roundtable and its mission and organize special events, including educational seminars and networking events. The Committee will also be responsible for taking pictures at Roundtable events and coordinating with the Technology Committee for publication of photographs on the website.

Speakers' Bureau

The Speakers' Bureau will recruit speakers for each monthly Roundtable and any other special events. Speakers and their presentation topics should support the mission of the Roundtable. This Committee will work with the Membership Committee to design topics of interest that maximize the usefulness of each session for the speaker and the members in attendance. In addition, the Committee will identify topics to be discussed during the open forum of each session, including drafting open-ended questions and leading group dialogue. Questions should relate to the theme of the speaker's presentation, be topical and of interest to the members in attendance. The Committee will also be responsible for securing the appropriate venue for each monthly session and any special events.

Sponsorship Committee

The Sponsorship Committee will be responsible for identifying new sponsors and maintaining relations with existing sponsors. In addition, it is expected this Committee will work with the Liaison Committee to consider sponsor candidates, benefits offered to sponsors, and the price point for each level of sponsorship.

Technology Committee

The Technology Committee is responsible for the oversight, design and maintenance of the Roundtable's website. This includes adding industry relevant content. The Committee will also consider webinars and an industry blog. The Committee will work with the Liaison Committee to determine which links to add to the website and the Media and Special Events Committee to post pertinent public relations information on the website.
